Calcutta nr. 230

If one breath passes from thy life
Do not let it pass save joyfully
Beware ! for the profit from this earthly world
Is such existence that its passing passeth away

Payne 1898 - 321
Life's every moment, yet thine to pass away,
Be sure with gladness and wine to pass away;
For lo! the usance of this world's capital, life,
Is still to dwindle and syne to pass away.

Thompson 1906 - 751
If of this life one instant is left thee,
Let it not pass except in gaiety.
Beware ! for this world's capital is life
Which thus drawn on, soon passed away will be.
