RUBAIYAT BY OMAR KHAYYAM. Translated in Farsi, English, German, French and Arabic. Tehran, Gooya House of Culture and Art, 2016.

In the Acknowledgement of this edition with 92 quatrains, various names are listed as translators:
“English translation of poems: Edward FitzGerald and …”
“French translation: Abulghasem Etessamzadeh [sic], Vincent Monti [sic] and Amir Hooshang Kavousi”.
“German translation: Leo Pold, Kamran Jamali.”

‘V. Monti’ is clearly an error and should be read as V. Monteil. ‘Leo Pold’ is a name that I haven’t been able to link to a translator or author.

75 quatrains were taken from three versions of FitzGerald’s translations, nine quatrains from Rosen’s edition of 1928 and four quatrains were translated by K. Emami. Four quatrains remain unidentified, they also appeared in the edition by Gooya, 1999, as provided by A. Azad: 10 (E 5), 12 (E 8), 34 (E 13) and 58 (E 15)

56 quatrains were selected from E’tessam-Zadeh’s translation of 1931. A further 6 quatrains from the same translator appeared earlier in the edition by H.A.N. Esfandiary (Shumposha, 1972): 7 (F 18), 17 (F 15), 23 (F 26), 47 (F 27), 73 (F 22), 84 (F 20).

18 quatrains are taken from Monteil and 12 quatrains were translated by A.H. Kavoussi

There are 11 quatrains that have a double asterisk, but it has not become clear what that actually means or what it refers to.
