Though no names are given, there are initials R and N along with the quatrains in German. It appears that these initials indicate the translators’ names: F. Rosen and H.W. Nordmeyer. These initials are missing in four quatrains: numbers 22, 32, 34 and 47. They have not yet been identified. Quatrain number 23 is not by Nordmeyer but by Rosen. Number 24 has erroneously Nordmeyer’s initial but remains unidentified. To summarize: 28 German quatrains are by Rosen and 65 by Nordmeyer. Some of the German quatrains also appear in other editions.
The unidentified quatrains are numbers 22 (G 4), 24 (G 5), 34 (G 6) and 47 (G 7)

Number of quatrains:
Nordmeyer (1926) - 65
Rosen (1909 and later) - 18, 8, 2
Unidentified - 4
